Order of Operations

When an expression has several operators, the computer follows fixed rules about which to do first — just like in maths. Brackets let you choose. Who goes first? What is 2 + 3 * 4? Not 20! Multiplication happens before addition, so it’s 2 + 12 = 14. Check your understanding
